How it works

How MentionLeads connects SaaS traffic to revenue.

Install one domain-locked script, define the actions that matter, and follow the path from first visit to customer without stitching together five dashboards.

01

Connect your site

Create a domain-locked site and paste the lightweight MentionLeads script into your shared page head.

02

Capture useful actions

Pageviews and sessions arrive automatically. Add events for signup, trial activation, checkout, or any product milestone.

03

Define conversion

On Pro, turn an event or destination page into a goal and see completions, rate, revenue, and journeys.

04

Connect the money

Send revenue events or connect a restricted Stripe key to sync charges and refunds without exposing payment credentials.

Inside the product

What MentionLeads SaaS Analytics includes.

Live visitor room

See active guests and identified customers, the pages they visit, their source, device, browser, and coarse location.

Acquisition breakdowns

Compare referrers, UTM campaigns, pages, countries, browsers, and devices over the period you choose.

Product events

Track meaningful actions from browser clicks, your application code, or a scoped server-side API token.

Interactive metrics

Switch the chart between visitors, revenue, conversion rate, revenue per visitor, bounce rate, and session time.

Goals and journeys

Pro and Agency reveal the pages people move through before an event or destination converts.

Stripe attribution

Use a restricted read-only key and opaque visitor/session labels to connect successful payments to their origin.

Designed for trust

Useful analytics with clear privacy boundaries.

MentionLeads is designed to answer growth questions without collecting every possible detail. The tracker keeps URLs clean, scopes site IDs to a domain, and gives you explicit control over identification.

  • Raw IP addresses, query strings, fragments, and request bodies are not stored.
  • Visitor, session, and supplied user IDs are one-way hashed per connected site.
  • Do Not Track disables the browser script when the visitor sends DNT: 1.
  • Names and avatar URLs appear only when your own application explicitly calls identify().
Questions, answered

Know exactly what you’re getting.

No vague AI promises. These are the practical boundaries of the feature.

What does MentionLeads track automatically?

It captures pageviews, client-side navigation, visitors, 30-minute sessions, engaged time, bounce rate, referrers, UTM campaigns, browser, device class, and coarse location. Query strings and URL fragments are removed.

Can I see signed-in customers by name?

Yes, if your application explicitly calls mentionleads.identify() after authentication. Use your own stable internal ID; it is hashed per site. The optional display name and avatar are shown only when you choose to send them.

How does Stripe revenue attribution work?

You can connect a restricted live Stripe key with read-only access to charges, payment intents, checkout sessions, and invoices. Opaque MentionLeads visitor and session IDs in your Stripe metadata connect a payment to its original source and landing page.

Which plans include analytics?

Starter includes one site, 10,000 monthly events, 30-day history, and the live visitor room. Pro adds five sites, 100,000 events per site, 90-day history, goals, journeys, and AI traffic. Agency expands those limits further.

Does it use third-party cookies or store raw IP addresses?

No. The browser tracker uses first-party local and session storage. Raw IP addresses are used only transiently for abuse throttling and are not written to the analytics database.
