Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what MentionLeads (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website and product, and how we use it. We keep this deliberately short and honest.

What we collect

• Account data: your name, email, and a securely hashed password.
• Project data: the product descriptions, target customers, subreddits, and keywords you enter.
• Lead data: public Reddit posts we surface for your projects, plus the analyses and drafts we generate from them.
• Website usage: pages visited, browser/device information, campaign or referral data, and account-registration or subscription-purchase events collected by our analytics and advertising measurement tools.
• Growth Analytics data: when a customer installs our tracker on a site they control, we process page paths (never query strings), page titles, referrer domains, campaign tags, coarse location supplied by the hosting network, browser/device details, custom event names and properties, and optional revenue values. A customer may also identify its own signed-in user by sending a stable user ID, display name, and HTTPS avatar URL. User, visitor, and session IDs are one-way hashed per site before storage; supplied names and avatar URLs are stored as provided. We do not store visitor IP addresses.
• Affiliate data: if you visit through a partner link, we store a first-party referral cookie for up to 60 days and an anonymous, one-way-hashed browser identifier to count at most one click per partner per day. We do not store an IP address for affiliate tracking. If you join the program, we store your referral code, payout email, attributed account IDs, commission ledger, and payout history.

How we use it

• To find and score relevant public Reddit threads for you and draft suggested replies.
• To operate your account and show your dashboard, projects, and leads.
• To understand website usage and measure which advertising leads to registrations and subscription purchases.
• To provide customers with live visitor maps plus traffic, acquisition, conversion, revenue, and journey reports for websites where they installed Growth Analytics. Signed-in users appear by name only when the customer explicitly identifies them; other sessions remain labeled as guests.
• To attribute newly created accounts to an affiliate, calculate Stripe-verified commission, account for refunds, prevent self-referrals and fraud, and review payout requests.

Third parties

We use a small number of processors to run and improve the product: a data provider to retrieve public Reddit content, DeepSeek to analyze threads and draft replies, Google Analytics and DataFast to measure website usage, and the Meta Pixel to measure page views, account registrations, and completed subscription purchases for advertising performance. Purchase events include the plan, amount, and currency; payment-card details are never sent to Meta. These providers process data under their own privacy terms. We do not sell your data, and we do not post anything to Reddit on your behalf — you review and post every reply yourself.

Browser extension

The MentionLeads browser extension runs only on reddit.com, x.com/twitter.com, news.ycombinator.com, and mentionleads.com. It stores its settings, a short-lived action queue, and daily usage counters locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) and sends none of this to our servers. It never reads your Reddit or X credentials; actions on those sites use your own logged-in browser session, and only after you approve each item in the dashboard. The extension does not scrape communities for discovery. Uninstalling it removes all locally stored extension data.

Data retention & your rights

You can delete a project (and its leads) or a connected analytics site from your dashboard. Removing an analytics site permanently removes its events, goals, and usage records. Growth Analytics event history is limited by plan: 30 days on Starter, 90 days on Pro, and 365 days on Agency. The tracker respects the browser's Do Not Track setting by default. Account deletion removes affiliate and analytics data with the rest of the account, except records we must retain to meet legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or payment obligations.
